Hello all..history in the making in Trinidad and Tobago with the opening of a new Port Health Office in Crews Inn Chaguaramas.

Every single person arriving into Trinidad and Tobago via our Air or Sea borders MUST get a Port Health Clearance before being cleared into Immigration and Customs. The airlines agents usually provides this service for all their passengers. Commercial vessels hire shipping agents to provide this service for their passengers.

Upon arrival at our sea border on a private yacht or pleasure craft in Chaguaramas, visiting Cruisers and locals can now walk directly to this new office situated at Crews Inn marina where there will be a Port Health Officer present to issue the Health clearance process. You can then proceed to the Immigration and customs office to get checked in with your Health clearance certificate in hand. This process now takes minutes down from waiting for as long as days in having to get a Health Clearance.

This was made possible with the collaborative efforts between Private Sector led by MSATT,where Crews Inn marina give the office space FREE of charge and Government, led by the Ministry of Trade,Investment and Tourism who funded the upgrade and repairs of the office and Ministry of Health who furnished the office and installed internet and phone systems and staffed the office with the Port Health Officers.

Great Team effort between ALL stakeholders both in the Private and Public Sector in making the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) possible and also in making T@T the number one destination in the Caribbean for Cruisers.
